Job Description
We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established primary care team serving a rural Louisiana community. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, managing acute illnesses and chronic conditions while performing minor procedures and wellness exams.
The practice offers wellness exams, physicals, in-house labs, and care for conditions such as Type II Diabetes. You will join a supportive environment where patients are treated like family, with a manageable daily volume of approximately 20 patients and the opportunity to earn additional income through a production bonus.
Job Type
Full-time, outpatient primary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and treat acute conditions such as flu, strep throat, and colds
- Manage chronic diseases, including Type II Diabetes
- Conduct wellness exams, sports physicals, and non-DOT physicals
- Use eClinicalWorks EMR for accurate, timely documentation of patient encounters
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active Louisiana license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- National certification as an FNP or PA-C
- One to two years of primary care experience preferred; strong new graduates will be considered
- Proficiency with electronic medical records; eClinicalWorks experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Strong base salary of **$115,000-$140,000+**, based on experience
- Performance-based incentive bonus for seeing more than 100 patients per week
- Medical insurance with the employer paying 50% of the plan
- Paid time off
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
