Our innovative model focuses on delivering comprehensive Nurse Practitioner care directly within skilled nursing facilities. You will serve a vulnerable patient population of elderly and long-term care residents, managing their wound care needs with compassion and expertise. We are seeking an autonomous and highly skilled clinician with a background in geriatric, adult, or family specialties. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions, particularly those related to wound care, and thrives in a collaborative team setting. Your ability to work independently, coupled with a commitment to interdisciplinary cooperation, will be key to success in this rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide wound care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with Arkansas law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Wound assessment, NPIAP staging, advanced wound products, wound vac experience, wound certification preferred

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
