PRN Primary Nurse Practitioner

This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized wound care services within a facility-based long-term care setting in West Memphis, AR. Our model integrates advanced practice clinicians directly into skilled nursing facilities, delivering expert care to an elderly patient population with diverse and complex needs. You will operate within a collaborative clinical environment, working closely with facility staff to ensure seamless and high-quality patient care.

We are seeking an autonomous and compassionate clinician with a background in geriatric, adult, or family care. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions, possesses strong clinical judgment, and thrives as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide wound care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with AR law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in AR (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Wound care specific requirements: wound assessment, NPIAP staging, advanced wound products, wound vac experience, wound certification preferred

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
