This role focuses on providing advanced practice nursing services within skilled nursing facilities. You will manage the healthcare needs of the elderly and long-term care population, working directly within their residential setting to ensure continuity and quality of care. The day-to-day clinical environment is dynamic, requiring a proactive approach to patient management and strong clinical judgment.

We are seeking an autonomous clinician with a background in geriatric, adult, or family specialties. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions and thrives as a collaborative team player, working closely with facility staff and attending physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide primary care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with Arkansas law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
