This position involves delivering comprehensive Nurse Practitioner care directly within skilled nursing facilities. You will serve an elderly patient population, managing their wound care needs and contributing to their overall well-being in a day-to-day clinical setting focused on continuity of care and patient-centered outcomes.

We are seeking an autonomous and compassionate clinician with a background in adult, family, or geriatric care. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions, particularly in wound care, and thrives in a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment, working closely with facility staff and attending physicians.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide wound care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with Arkansas law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Experience with wound assessment, NPIAP staging, advanced wound products, and wound vac experience; wound certification preferred

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
