In this role, you will provide specialized wound care services within skilled nursing facilities, focusing on the elderly and long-term care resident population. The day-to-day clinical environment involves comprehensive wound assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing management, working closely with facility staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an autonomous clinician with a strong background in geriatric, adult, or family care, comfortable managing complex chronic conditions. You will thrive in a collaborative setting, working as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide wound care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with AR law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in AR (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Wound assessment, NPIAP staging, advanced wound products, wound vac experience, wound certification preferred

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
