You will serve as a primary wound care provider for elderly and long-term care residents, managing their complex wound needs in a familiar and comfortable setting. We are seeking an autonomous and highly skilled clinician with a background in geriatric, adult, or family specialties. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions, particularly those related to wound care, and thrives in an environment that values independent practice alongside strong team collaboration. Your ability to work effectively with nursing home staff and attending physicians will be crucial to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide wound care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with AR law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in AR (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Strong experience in wound assessment, NPIAP staging, advanced wound products, and wound vac management. Wound care certification preferred.

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
