An exceptional opportunity awaits a dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner in Harrison, AR. This position involves delivering comprehensive nurse practitioner care directly within skilled nursing facilities. You will serve an elderly patient population, focusing on their long-term care needs and managing complex health conditions in a collaborative and dynamic clinical setting.

We are seeking an autonomous and compassionate clinician with a background in geriatric, adult, or family care. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions and thrives as a collaborative team player within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide wound care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities

- Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment

- Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions

- Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with Arkansas law

- Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans

Qualifications

- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas (required)

- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)

- Active DEA licensure

- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties

- Strong experience in wound assessment, NPIAP staging, advanced wound products, and wound vac experience; wound certification preferred

- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
